Acer Indonesia leads Personal Computer market

Acer Indonesia announced a success to be market leaders of personal computer (PC) category for three consecutive years, since 2005 until 2007. Based on international market research institute Gartner, in the 2007 third quarter, Acer Indonesia marketing for personal computer (PC) category, which includes desktop products, notebooks and server, reached 15.1%.

The data recorded in the IDC indicates that the Taiwan Company was ranked first by taking part of the market 14.4%. The second and third position reached by Hewlett-Packard (HP) with 12.8% market share and Toshiba with 6.3% of the market. Special for notebook, Acer Indonesia lead in the market with a market share of 35%, followed by Toshiba (19%) and HP (19%).
