Sharp Aquos DX LCD HDTV

Sharp has released a new 20 inch display ‘SHARP AQUOS DX’ LCD HDTV, supported by Blu-ray and DVD recorder. This LCD HTV offers HD Ready which has 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, 1500 : 1 contrast ratio, 450 cd/m2 brightness and also digital TV tuner.

It will be sold by the end of June 2009 at 150.000 Yen ($ 1,592).

Do you remember the Runat Pirates Of The Caribbean TV? The company comes back with the latest Runat Stitch TV which looks quite awesome. This Stitch Comes with 20-inch display, HDMI input port, D4, and B-CAS card reader, the TV features a nice 1680 x 1050 resolution. The price? ‘Only’ 100,000 Yen (about $1,014 USD. I guess only those lucky rich people who would buy this product for their lucky kids

Toshiba REGZA C8000 Full HD LCD TV

Toshiba updated their portfolio with the new series of REGZA Series LCD TV, REGZA C8000.  There are three different models are available. First, the 42-inch 42C8000 (127kW/year power consumption, full HD 1080p resolution). The second, the 37-inch 37C8000 (119kW/year power consumption, full HD 1080p resolution), and thirth, the 32-inch 32C8000 (95kW/year power consumption, a resolution of 1366 x 768) and all sports 120Hz panel technology and reduced power consumption.

The first two TVs have a contrast ratio of 1300:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 13000:1; while the last one has a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a dynamic contrast ratio of 30000:1. No words on pricing at the moment.

Samsung PAVV 650 HDTV Plasma

Samsung has just updated its PAVV HD Plasma TV series with two new models, one with 50-inch display and other with an 58-inch screen. Both HDTVs focus on design, color, and eco-friendliness.

These HDTVs integrated a new LCD panel which has been dubbed as the “Crystal Rose” design technology. Another feature of Samsung PAVV 650 HDTVs is that they lack volatile organic compound.

Pioneer stop Plasma TV 42 inch Production

Pioneer Corp. will stop production of 42-inch plasma TV following a loss in this business. Instead, Pioneer will buy plasma TV with the size or the size of the smaller company’s rival, Matsushita Electric Industrial or Hitachi Ltd.
Electronic manufacturers and automotive consumer will stop this plasma TV production in Kagoshima prefecture in March 2009.

Pioneer will be more focus on making the size of plasma TV 50 inches or bigger in the other manufacturer. This will be the latest step to leave the Pioneer model vertically integrated business.

Pioneer plasma TV business difficult fight with larger competitors who introduce the production efficiency, such as Matsushita and LG Electronics Inc. Pioneer has targeted to sell 480,000 units of plasma TVs fiscal year ended 31 March 2008. This amount is less than Matsushita sales target of 5 million units
